NDS grates are a proven alternative to traditional concrete drains. NDS grates are constructed with UV inhibitors which are used to prevent fading and cracking from the sun, chemical-resistant, rustproof and maintenance-free, lightweight, and easy to install. NDS has a full line of drainage products, fittings, and accessories available. The 5" Pro Series channel grate by NDS is part of their 5" Pro Series trench drain system. Each grate is 19.625" in length and 5.25" in width; two grates are needed for each section of the NDS Pro Series channel drain. NDS recommends that each grate be affixed to the channel with four stainless steel screws to prevent movement. Installed properly, these grates are rated for Class C loads of 175-325PSI, making them an affordable alternative to expensive metal grates.
